Guitar influences:
My top three guitar mentors cover a broad range of playing styles and writing.

Steve Howe
Lead guitar player for the group "Yes", "Asia" and individual soloist.
Self taught, plays a variety of styles (sometimes in one line), on acoustic, classical, electric, and steel guitar. As well as many other stringed instruments. Steve was voted for many years as "Guitar Player of the Year" in Guitar Player magazine.

Andrés Segovia (1893-1987)
Considered to be the father of the modern classical guitar movement by most modern scholars.
Many feel, that without his efforts, the classical guitar would still be considered a lowly bar instrument, played only by peasants.

Pete Townsend
Townshend made his name as the guitarist and principal songwriter for rock band The Who. Townshend is the primary songwriter for the group, writing over 100 songs on the band's eleven studio albums, including the rock operas Tommy and Quadrophenia. Although known mainly for being a guitarist, he is also an accomplished singer and keyboard player, and has played many other instruments on his solo albums, and on some Who albums (such as banjo, bass guitar, drums).
